So I didn't think that I would create another post until we go to our doctor's appointment this week. However, today has been a whirl wind of a day. This morning our preacher's sermon was about the three Hebrews Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. I have heard that story so many times and know it forwards and backwards. However, today I was given another perspective about this story. In this story, these three young men were cast into the fiery furnace for not bowing down to King Nebuchadnezzar. They were men who were convicted in their love for God and were not going to allow anyone to change that. One of the things my preacher said is that the young men told the king no matter what the king does to them, if the Lord wants to save them He has the power to do so. Then the question was stated "what is your fiery furnace?" We all have issues that we deal with on a daily basis. And then there are issues that seem to have no resolve in sight but I learned today that we have to have the mindset that the Lord can do what He wants to do. No matter what your storm, or fiery furnace is, the Lord is always there protecting you from things you may or may not be aware of. I have to keep this in mind. My fiery furnace seems to be my body right now but I have to realize that there is a plan and trust that He is in control. So easy to say and so hard to do!
One other thing from today, my sweet niece Laila has had such a rough weekend. She was diagnosed with RSV on Saturday and then we found out today she has full blown pneumonia. She is dehydrated and we hate to see her so sick. Just pray that she can get back to her happy self soon. I love her so much!!
