I Will Be a Better Blogger...I'm a Work In Progress

Hi everyone!  I hope all has been well for everyone.  We have been in nursery prep mode and I have not been a good blooger.  I am happy to say that the nursery is almost done.  We are still waiting on the bedding to come in and we have to find some window treatments and a rug that I like for the room and we will be done.  Oh and the monogram that goes above her bed is still in the works.  We ordered one online and when it came in, it was hot pink and we wanted a soft pink so we are still working that out.  But here are a few pics of our little princess's room.

I know the mirror looks small but pictures don't always do it justice :)

As you can see, Gracie is not ready to give up her room but she has no choice...baby is on her way. We are truly excited for this little baby to come who we have prayed so much for.  Prepping the room has been more fun than I could imagine.

We went for our 6 month check up on Monday this week and our little girl was right on track.  I also had a glucose test and I haven't heard any results back from it but I was told that if I didn't hear anything, everything was good.  So no news is good news!  Due to our scary, abnormal ultrasound at 20 weeks, we get an ultrasound with every visit until we deliver.  It was great to see her mouth moving and just having confirmation that everything is on track helps relieve my stress.  Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING!

I am still really hesitant to add any belly pics but my belly has really popped out over the past couple of weeks.  And my face is starting to stretch...I guess I am just carrying more fluid in my body and it has no where to go but to my face, hands and feet!  I have also developed carpal tunnel in my hands.  I discovered this because my hands kept going numb for no reason and when I told my doctor about it she knew right away that it was carpal tunnel. Now I get to wear two hand braces to stabalize my hands so that I don't wear out the tendons in my arm.  My feet haven't swollen too much lately but when I was wearing flip flops, they would swell something awful.  I am learning that as long as I wear something on them to restrict the swelling, my feet don't do so badly.   And my eyes haven't been as good as they used to so now I have to wear my glasses all the time or else I can't see.  Boy this pregnancy thing is becoming quite glamorous with all the new accessories I have to wear!  I wouldn't have it any other way.  The Lord has blessed me with the giving this gift of life and I will just have to deal with all of the fun that comes with it!

While we are in a state of bliss right now, I am saddned to report that some of our very close friends will be relocating to Chicago in December.  Our good friends Victor and Teara Moore will be moving and while I am so happy for their new opportunity I find myself being a little jealous that Chicago is getting such great souls.  This is probably the 3rd time that some of our close friends have relocated to Chicago so it's a bitter sweet moment for us.  This family were in our wedding and you can always count on them to be there for you no matter what.  I will miss you guys...good friends are hard to find.
This picture was on the dance floor at our wedding...good times for sure!
Ok...I think I am done for now.  I am not sure whether I told you on my last post about the name we chose but our little bundle of joy's name is Kendal Rose.  We like the name Kendal and Rose is from my paternal grandmother whose name was Rosemary.  As I type these sentences, Kendal is kicking the computer as if to say I have typed enough so I will digress for now.  As soon as I finish the nursery, you will see the results!  Thanks so much for always praying for us as we are in awe at how prayer changes things.
