My Bad Yall!

So I just now realized that I have not updated my blog since I last went to the urologist. Just to remind you, I had to go to the urologist because my OB kept finding that I had a UTI.  I had to go to the urologist to confirm where the bacteria was coming from.  Luckily, the urologists tests turned out just fine...I just hope it stays that way.  School is officially back in and mama and baby are super exhausted at the end of the day.  Last week was the first full week and it took a lot to make it to Friday.

It's two more weeks until we find out the sex of the baby...and boy are we excited.  I just can't decide whether to have the gender reveal party or just find out at the appointment and tell everyone that evening.  It's more exciting to have the party but I just don't know if I can wait the extra 2 days.  Decisions, Decisions!!!!!  I'll get back to you on that.

The next order of business is how long to stay off on maternity leave.  This is the part that is bitter sweet for me.  It's sweet because I will be able to be home with my baby in the first few months.  It's bitter because I have to leave my other 23 babies that I teach everyday.  I so love those kids too and hate to have to break up their instruction style in the middle of the year.  Now the kids will have to get used to a new teacher after winter break.  If I stay off for the 16 weeks, I won't be back until May which is the end of the year.  If I come back in May, that may be hard on them and me as it's the end of the year and they will have to switch once again back to my instruction style.  But if I come back in May, I will still get paid in the summer time.  While the compensation of a teacher is not a lot, it would be nice to have a check in the summer time.  I don't know what I am going to do about that either.  Decisions, Decisions...more to figure out later!!!!

In the mean time, I am starting to feel flutters and it is the weirdest feeling.  I didn't think that I would feel things until I was at least 20 weeks...don't ask me why!  I am so happy that things are going well and I hope that things continue to go well for us.

One other thing...Mr. Wonderful's grandfather is not doing well.  He is currently assigned to hospice care as he is dealing with the end stages of lung cancer.  The latest I have heard, he is still very aware of what's going on and has been up talking and watching golf :)  While in hospice care he has amazingly improved.  My hope is that he continues to improve and gets stronger.  Just pray that whatever the outcome, that his family is able to cope with the situation and it's circumstances.  You are all my prayer warriors...thanks for always being so supportive!
