She's still cooking yall!! What a whirlwind of a weekend we have had!! We have had a trip to the ER and a whole lot of bed rest and through all of it this baby has not missed a beat. She is still resting comfortably in my belly...and I am about to evict :) It all started out on Wednesday, my last doctor's appointment. I could tell that I was having a hard time sitting and standing and spoke with my doctor about it.
**Side note...I am going to call the source of my pain "it" but "it" is located on my backside and grew to be the size of a grape! "It" is a demon from HELL!!!**
She gave me some tips to deal with it and sent me on my way. By Friday, the pain was awful and I had to go to the ER to get some relief. We went in and we weren't sure what they were going to have to do about pain relief but they took great care of me. I have heard of people having them lanced or even surgically removing them. They gave me some meds to deal with the pain of everything and some other meds to help shrink it. Well, while I was there, my blood pressure was very high because of all the pain. By the time we left the ER, my head was throbbing and that hasn't happened the entire time I have been pregnant. So knowing that my blood pressure was elevated and that my head was now hurting, I knew I needed to talk to me doctor. She told me that I needed to rest as much as possible and take the pain meds to relax my body. I did that and have been in the bed since Friday. Luckily, my report today shows that all of the bed rest has paid off as my blood pressure was normal, no protein was detected and I am not in any distress. They won't induce your labor before 39 weeks if there is not a medical reason so she's still cooking. Because I am still very sore in my back, I still haven't had a cervix check so I am not sure whether I have dilated or thinned at all. She said there was no reason to check today and I was fine with that. I am just not interested in going through that. Miss Kendal is riding low right now and that is the weirdest feeling. I can feel her resting on my pelvic bone and that is very uncomfortable...but I guess she is just enjoying the ride. I still have my mucus plug and contractions are coming and going but aren't regular at all. I think I will probably be going full term...but if anything changes, I will update you. Until then, I will be taking it easy until our big day arrives...or until my next appointment next Tuesday :)
