And So It Begins

Well, we have officially started round two.  I am down 11 pounds so far and working on the next 11...or should I say 29 pounds :) I talked with my doctor today and they switched me from Clomid to Femara.  Both drugs stimulate your pituitary gland to bring on follicle growth for ovulation but he seems to think Femara will work better.  She also explained to me that Femara will run me about $200-$300 for the prescription.  So I sent my Mr. Wonderful to pick up the prescription because I couldn't bare to hear that price for a bottle of 10 pills.  When he called with the damage, I was elated to hear that we only had to pay $23!!!!!!!!!!!  That was just another indication that I am not in control and that He is!   So, we start tomorrow taking Femara and go back for an ultra sound to observe the follicle growth on next Wednesday, March 14.

I am also taking a drug called Metformin that helps with insulin resistance and ovulation.  However, I have not been taking the dosage correctly and let me tell you this medicine does a number on your stomach.  My appetite has decreased drastically but hopefully that will contribute to my weight loss.  I was taking 2 at a time and you are only supposed to take 1 twice a day.  So, hopefully I will be able to manage that medicine a lot better now.

And so round two has commenced.  I am over being sad for now and hopeful that perhaps this time will be a success.  For my sanity, I have to be realistic and know that I am not in control.  Keep praying for us as we are hopeful that soon we will get the desires of our hearts.  My mom asked me a great question the other morning, she said, "What are you going to do when this baby talks back to you the first time?"  I guess I never thought about that but I will cross that bridge when I get to it.  Hopefully this baby will know how much we loved shim (she and him put together) before they were ever here!

Fell down the hill but made a right turn and still on this journey that we will conquer....
